Right from small, 10 watt mini-compacts, to ninety-six Watt 10,000K light bulbs, Coralife Aqualight bulbs come in all of the regular measures, 18, 24, 36 and 48 inches wide. With amazing concentrations of deep-penetrating blue and white lumination, the capability for these fifty-fifty, ten thousand Kilowatt daylight, and actinic blue bulbs to simulate deep ocean water reef climates ensures they are a popular choice with reef keepers. Freshwater aquarium lighting frequently comes in only two forms; one is really a screw-in type incandescent light and the other is normal productivity fluorescent lighting. Screw-in small fluorescent illumination is equally utilized in freshwater aquaria since it offers whiter illumination output than conventional screw-in type of coralife bulbs.

More demanding freshwater set-ups, for example planted freshwater fish tanks, might require sturdier light solutions. Midi fluorescent light sources, high output T5 bulbs or metal halide lamps are often utilized over these aquariums to increase plant cultivation. Although these Coralife Aqualight lights can provide a much better range compared with traditional bulbs, they frequently use more power and have a higher temperature output.

Lighting is a essential challenge in fish keeping. The particular set up may need high or reduced lighting, special color lighting, unique deep penetration lighting, possibly even illumination at unique angles. All individual components possibly can make a significant difference in what you and your guests see when they have a look at your display aquarium and may also have a great effect on the well being with the animals and vegetation you maintain in there. Of course, all individual elements, when not described in detail, produce a much bigger dilemma which makes hobbyists to prefer to get for an “normal” remedy. What’s worse, there are no guidelines and the ones that there are ought to not be utilized recklessly when deciding upon Coralife Aqualight bulbs.

I have a saltwater tank and i want to start adding the more colorful stuff like clams, anenomies, coral etc.. but i need to get the lighting for it and i was told that the best was the metal halide light but i cant seem to find it for under 500 dollars for my tank size which is a standard 75 gallon tank but i found some thing on petsmart.com and im not sure if its the right light for what im tryin to do. It is the “Coralife Deluxe Series Aqualight Double Linear Strip Fixture and Lamps” and it comes with…
Two on/off switches with two 8-foot power cords for separate timers
Built-in ballasts
Two cooling fans
Sleek aluminum housing
Highly-polished reflector
Acrylic lens cover
Comes with two 65W 10,000K and two 65W True Actinic 03 Blue straight pin base compact fluorescent lamps
Fixture measures 48″L x 7″W x 2 1/2″H
Voltage frequency: 120V 60Hz
Power: 120W
Now what im wondering is , is this the right light for what im tryin to do if not where should i look

I am new to the whole saltwater aquariums. I have had many freshwater tanks in the past and never had any problems. I had a 55 gallon freshwater but sold it when I moved. So this time around I am starting up a saltwater. I know its not much and I’m in no rush to get it up and running immediately but just would like to get some feedback on the necessities for running a good saltwater tank. So far all I have is a 20 Gallon long (want to start with something small for now.), a Marineland Emperor 280 Power filter, and a Coralife Aqualight Dual T5 Lamp High Output Fixture, and also 10 lbs of reef sand.

I plan on getting clown fish just too start out and know that getting them in pairs is recommended so I’ll only have two for the entire aquarium to start. There will also be live rock and anemones. I would rather get all the equipment I need first cause I plan on running the tank with live rock for about 2 weeks to cure it just in case.

So my biggest questions would be:
What other recommended equipment do I need? (heater, hood, etc.)
How many fish would accommodate my aquarium size? Or how many recommended gallons per fish?
How many lbs. of live rock should I get?
And any other recommendations other than getting a bigger tank?

I would rather get all the equipment I need

I’m keeping this as a quarantine tank, just so that my fish in my main tank stays peaceful. Some fish just tend to flip to the gangsta on others so I need to seperate them. 10 Gallon seems alright to keep, but like the 5 gallon, it evaporates way too fast and I don’t have the time to keep refilling it with water. Anyway, if you like how my tanks look and such, SUBSCRIBE! thanks.
